Nari has been studying bellydance since 2003, and performing professionally since 2005. In addition to private parties and restaurants, she has performed at a variety of venues including Hotel Zaza, The Velvet Hookah, Texas Renaissance Festival,  International Festival, and Avant Garden. She currently dances as various locations throughout Houston.

Her bellydance experience began in American Cabaret and Egyptian when she and her best friend Obsidia took their first bellydance class together. They studied with the same teacher for about a year, but after seeing Cynthia Todd perform, they both began to turn their attention towards Tribal Fusion.
Nari and Obsidia formed the Tribal Fusion duo Midnight Muse Dance Tribe, which disbanded in 2005.
In 2008, Nari and Obsidia reformed as L'imprevu, combining their visions of dark fusion and theatrical bellydance to create something truly unique for Texas audiences.
Nari's dance has since become a true fusion of styles both within and outside of the bellydance genre. Audiences generally describe Nari's dance as old world elegant with a dynamic modern twist.

Her passions within dance range from Egyptian to Turkish to Romani to Modern to Jazz to "Tribal Fusion". Her major dance influences include Mira Betz, Elizabeth Strong, Aziza, Frederique, Jill Parker, Mia Michaels, Bob Fosse, and Martha Graham.

Nari is also currently a member of Sisters of Avalon, a board member of Helios, and oversees Vagabond Bellydance at Avant Garden the third Tuesday of every month. She teaches weekly classes at Nia Moves and workshops upon request
